I totally understand your distaste of the money involved in football - I turn off that part of my emotions so that I'm (most of the time) still able to watch a game that I enjoyed playing years ago and still enjoy watching. There are plenty of people in big business salaries too, and they are...
The sale of Cucu is the pinnacle of Bloom/Barber/Potter's (pick your sequence) stated club mission gone into overdrive. It's simply stunning that Cucu has been polished/encouraged into being one of the best left backs in Europe in simply one season. Credit Cucu too, as he took his chance...
Bluuuuue Mooooooonn
You won't be seeing Cucu sooooon

Spot on. It's Potter and the squad momentum and ambition that's the key. Cucu is great, but other players were close behind him for me as POTS, Veltman for example. When they play well (admittedly not every game) Trossard and Welbeck are bigger match winners for me than Cucu. It'll be a...
Yes, but it will be difficult to find another Cucu quickly. Also, we had decent back up already in the centre back positions. You are right that selling White hasn't really harmed us, but I think we'll struggle to stay Top 10 (Bloom's ambition) next year without Cucu.
These personal details probably do mean more than a little. I'm sure the Albion helped him and Mrs Cucu settle in to Sussex, and I'd imagine that Mrs Cucu isn't that keen to move on to another place just yet when she has a family to look after. And as we all know...Sussex is far warmer and...
Agreed... and I would add 4. Graham Potter. He's not going to be happy having the POTS wrenched away from his improving squad after just one season. Cucu's energy lifts the whole squad. One more season (with a replacement being developed) and GP would understand the letting go.
