Agreed. I would like to see us sign Colwill on a permanent basis, not simply to do Chelsea a favour by improving their player, giving him plenty of Premier League minutes, and then see him return to his parent club much better for the experience.
Would love to think that this might lead to a couple of new signings, Colwill of course, and a new specialist left back as a direct replacement for Cucu.
Yes ok l know that Solly can fill in there, Mitoma possibly, even Trossard (though we need him further forward really), but none of them are...
Not sure he'll fancy it in the far north easxt to be honest, the wind coming off the North Sea will blow his hair out of place.
Your bid may just be the first one that he turns down.
Cucu also has the not so small task of displacing Chilwell from the starting eleven, a possible England starter when fit.
As you say an absolute star in a Brighton side, it won't be the same at Stamford Bridge though.
Well we will be seeing him on this site until around November time l reckon, when Southgate is given the order of the boot after England's poor showing at the World Cup.
Get ready to say Hejda everyone. :bigwave:
I have deliberately avoided looking at this long running thread until today, desperately hoping that if l pretended it didn't exist, then the problem would just go away.
That hasn't worked though has it? :tantrum:
