Even a newbie American can call it!
Clearly "a 'man of the power of' logical and experiential deduction". :albion2:
Who needs that lying twitterer Fabrizio - whoever he is.
I don't see why the meltdown and angst helps things? If he goes he goes. either way we don't have a problem in his position. If he stays we have one of the best, if he leaves we have March and Trossard who can play there to a very high level. Trossard was scoring goals and getting in great...
How are we not "playing ball"? If they make an offer that is equal or higher than his value it will be accepted. That is the definition of "playing ball".
How exactly? Cucurella will know he is worth pushing 60m on the market given his contract, performance, clubs that are interested in him and previous player sale prices. If Man City don't want to offer that then he will know they didn't really want him or are trying to get him on the cheap.
And the transfer request changes what exactly? It is just agent games. When Man City offer the correct price things will move. If not, nothing happens. Why all the talk!?
The fact that every manager plays him regularly, that is nearly always in the matchday squad means he is one of our best players. If he wasn't we wouldn't see him so often. His skill is his tactical awareness and versatility. It is not as glamorous as the skills that Cucurella or Trossard or...
I really don't think so. How do you think it comes across the player? "oh we really need you and want you and will tipple your wages etc and you are our top target, Pep loves you. But yeah sorry we only mean that if we can get you for a knock-down sale price"
I really don't get the Solly March bashing around here. I take it that it is some kind of "over my head" humor on this site? He is one of our best players!
That is clearly bullshit. If anything Cucurella will be annoyed and offended by Man City for not valuing him. Low ball offers will only make him less likely to want to move there. Would you move somewhere that undervalues you?
Can see that offer backfiring to Man City there. If I was Cucurella and Man City had been in my ear and the press and saying how much they want me and then they put in a low ball valuation like that, I would be offended.
The players are not complete idiots, he will know what Bissouma went for...
I would expect more than 50m. Probably pushing 60m. White was 50m with a similar age, contract, premier league experience and international games so are pretty comparable as a benchmark. This was last year and just with inflation this is now 55ish. So my guess is 55-65m.
What is, in your opinion, a contribution on the pitch worthy of 90k a week? And, given Lallana's on pitch contribution, what is he worth a week?
Also, what do you value contributions off the pitch at?
To add to that the oil lot have been making record profits!
People should remember that, given inflation, if we want White-level money for him that is now pushing 60m!
