I think the term "clinical strikers" is a little bit of an over used term in regards to our players. CBA to dredge them up now, but I seem to recall stats showing that Kane, Vardy and others in the "clinical striker" mould , had very similar % stats to Maupay last season. My pet theory is that...

Anyone looking at yesterday's game as an example of the lack of threat of our strikers are way off the mark. Our first pre-season match, featuring two very makeshift 11s, playing 45 minutes each, against the Scottish champions, who are one week away from starting their campaign.

I guess we are in a better position now than we were at the start of last season though aren't we? Wasn't it just Maupay and Connolly, with Welbeck joining shortly after? Andone,Tau and Zeqiri may not amount to much, but at least there are other options.
