He doesn’t seem to have many options- we’d be paying him close to that even if we weren’t making him the highest earner. Weren’t we playing the likes of Ali J 40k?
If they want him out so much why not just accept a single digit million pound offer. He’d be well worth a punt at £5-9 million. They clearly don’t want him and he clearly wants out. Nobody is going to pay £20 million now. That horse bolted a month ago.
Amen. The idea that he isn’t better than our strikers is madness- arrogant and blinkered. He can also get a lot better with motivation and a decent coach. He’s been coasting.
Mitouma. Currently won’t get a WP I believe.
We don’t want to be getting in to a bidding with Saints really. Feels like either we don’t really want Édouard or we’ve faffed a bit too much (as usual when it comes to forwards).
He’s in real danger of getting stuck at Celtic this season and effectively treading water for two seasons. He hasn’t shown anywhere near the right level of application and it must be a concern for teams. If he’s had three of the best games of his career in the qualifiers and yesterday people...
He scored 17 goals in 14 games for the French U21s. Was the golden boy and
golden boot at the U17 Euros. He’s got 7 goals in the Europa League including against AC Milan, got two assists when they beat Lazio unexpectedly. 6 goals in Champions League qualifiers and has played in the Champions...
I would worry that there will be a point where many clubs will be in for him. Right now teams are put off because the asking price for a player in the last year of his contract seems steep. If Arsenal or a host of other clubs can pay £5 million for him in January, or a big club can get him on a...
This is absolutely no disrespect to Maupay, but if you compare their careers side by side, and consider they’d cost about the same amount, you’d have to say Edouard seems to have more potential. It’s a no brainier to me.
Who else are we going to get for they kind of money?
Celtic will want to attract other bids so it makes sense that there’s a leak.
Can I ask....
I get why papers fill the back pages with made up (or very tenuous at the least) rumours. But what is in it for the journalists and papers to go to these kind of lengths? Won’t it just look ridiculous if...
