I think it’s more that a lot of people think he can do better than Arsenal. It’s a bit meh, as a move, when he had the potential to go to a top 4/5 team that’s in Europe.
Nearly 11 o’clock, where’s our daily tweet from some ITK expert saying that terms have been agreed with Arsenal and Ben is about to be unveiled?
Need to maintain the record of 36 consecutive days of this claim, come on you Arsenal insiders, what’s today’s tweet?
If I was BW, two of the top things on my wishlist would be a manager I’m really going to develop under, and the chance of playing in Europe.
The Arse just about scrape by on both criteria, but it’s borderline. Second rate on both, even if technically the box gets a faint tick.
Everton, no on...
Nope. But, this being NSC, you need to wade through 150 posts between a couple of people having a pointless circular off-topic argument to find that out.
Sterling having a bit of a mare in the rain. Think he’s failed to control pretty much everything that’s come his way so far. With Kane quiet again too, we just lack much real threat up front at the moment.
I’m worried too.
There are rumours currently going around on Twitter that someone who was at school with Ben when he was 7 clearly remembers him cracking the “knock knock, who’s there, doctor, doctor who” joke in the playground one break time.
If that’s true, and Ben IS guilty of slamming...
I think you're right.
Logically, Lingard or JWP made sense, but only if Southgate had no concerns about central defence and Mings (and Maguire).
I think the fact he's ended up going for Ben instead of either of those two is an unspoken acknowledgment that England has a self-created problem in...
I know. Muppets. All those years developing and nurturing his career path, from early teens onwards, and then they let him go just because he had a decent loan spell somewhere. What a **** up from Leeds!
He'll probably take Lingard, as that's the next story on the 'big boys new agenda'.
While Lingard has been a revelation at West Ham, I'm not sure that's where we need much back-up – with Grealish, Mount, Foden etc already in the squad.
But what do I know, I'd have left Mings, Henderson behind...
It’s not rugby league. As others pointed out earlier, this is a quality offensive linesman play, worthy of consideration by a NFL team. Blocking the onrushing Austrian defensive middle linebacker like this clearly protects England’s quarterback from being sacked.
Ah, of course. And maybe for bonding purposes Maguire could also lead the lads on a pub crawl where everyone gets shitfaced and beats up a few local coppers.
Southgate admits Maguire and Henderson are doubtful for the group stages, but selects them anyway:
