I’m not wound up by Leeds fans, they lost out. BW was never their player, their bids dismissed by far greater minds than the chancers making them and just 11 months later Brighton and Hove Football Club bank £50m. Leeds £nil.
The good thing about company accounts transfer numbers is that definitively give the true total of fees, disregarding add ons, regardless of fee payment structure.
When the 2021/22 Albion accounts are filed, there’s a way of working out total proceeds received on transfers out in that year. Then it’s usually not difficult to apportion that between leavers. Similarly, Arsenal’s accounts will state the true spend on players in a year.
Good luck BW, a class act and I never even saw him play live .
[Separately, Veltman was consistently excellent, my POTS. Surprised to see people downplaying his input].
Arsenal never seem to learn. I remember their poach Suarez bid being laughed out of the game.
Bloom/Barber comes across as always cerebral, strategic and measured
Some Gooners in their thread seem to think that the Albion are now creating rumours about rival bids to extract more cash out of them.
How does that work? Does Barber get a underling to call a couple of respected vloggers?
:lolol:
Gooners are getting irritated now by the supposedly greedy stance of the Albion. In truth, they have no way of knowing anything in confidential discussions, they’re reacting to complete guesswork from faux-ITK football writers/vloggers.
I think it’s already evolved and potentially receiving £100m for Biss and White will see it evolve further.
With lessons learnt on the £32m plus wages blown on Locadia and Jahanbakhsh.
I think it would put us in the market for the right striker at a price.
Even before this coming windfall, TB...
