Ironically I think the only likely one is Lamptey. He won't go to a bigger club this summer (the others might, will certainly interest them) and they'll end up taking a huge gamble on a signing to keep the fans quiet by spunking £75m on him to keep the punters quiet.
Basically the Twitter transfer people are like those mad Americans who keep predicting the rapture, once it doesn't happen like they promised there'll be an excuse
I've never understood this phrase at all TBH. Does it just mean someone at the club is watching Sky Sports News to see what they're saying about it? Surely they can't actually know anything about the dealings between Brighton & Arsenal (or Everton, or Chelsea).
Chelsea makes sense and, frankly, is the sort of level I think Ben deserves (as said by many, including me, before, he can do better than Arsenal) given his ability, talent and promise
I wonder if the Everton bid is a bit of a play to their fans (who seem to be none too happy about the whole Rafa thing) that they actually are intent on progressing
Um, are you forgetting he had #LUFC on his Twitter profile for a full week after he came back to Brighton? That's tantamount to getting "WACCOE" tattooed on your face and definitely not because he just took a week off and didn't bother going on Twitter.
Him or Maguire TBH would be a pretty formidable double act for their clubs. Certainly think he's good enough to be playing for a European team next season.
I love the idea they do this in every scenario where a transaction is involved. Picking up a tin of beans in Tesco and going "this says 30p, I'll give you 10p and a further 10p to be paid over the next two years...I'm sorry, did you say no? Do you know who I am?"
Apparently Arsenal are also in for Maddison as well as Bissouma and White (and Ramsey, and Onana, and some kid at Anderlecht) and that's just today. Either they're completely changing their squad like they've played a wildcard in FPL or this is just more summer transfer bollox.
This is huge news for him, but also for the club. We now have proof for our young players that there is a route from Brighton youngster to England international without having to leave to a bigger club (or Leeds) to achieve it, which in turn should help us hang on to more of our youth prospects...
