Honestly… this whole XG nonsense, I couldn’t care what the stats say, Maupay misses a lot of chances, we’ve all seen it with our own eyes, he doesn’t have the composure to be a lethal striker at this level.

Happy with 15m, ok player but if we want to solidify ourself as a top half side he’s not good enough, putting it brutally. Doesn’t have the composure to be a top level PL striker IMO, will miss his trolling of the opposition the most… which probably says a lot.

Posted this in the other thread but Have you ever seen a player look so disinterested when he misses? Most strikers look gutted when they miss chances, not our Neal, shrugs it off. I’ve genuinely seen him more angry when he misses a chance on Fifa, and I’m not joking.

He’s our best striker. That says it all, given that he’s utterly useless at the moment, if we had a proven finisher up front they’d have have 20 goals this season, I understand bad form every player goes through the same thing but I’m sorry there is no excuse for Maupays woeful decision making...
