Potter was consistent with the way he handled the strikers. Gave them instructions and when things didn't work he chose other players and moved the strikers further from the pitch. Andone, Connolly, Maupay all caused headaches
I was more suggesting that loosing him may drop us 5 places and mean we could be drawn into a relegation battle. Keeping him and avoiding such a season is worth more than the £15m being offered
The other factor is does him staying gain us any places up the table. If we were to finish another 5 places higher by keeping him than it may be worth allowing him to run his contract down
I felt last season that we needed another option alongside Welbeck & Maupay to add some variety. Undav's stats are impressive but I'm not sure Zeqiri or Andone give us anything different.
If we do cash in on Maupay then I hope we can find that elusive no.9 who can compliment Undav and stretch...
I'm genuinely a bit disappointed to see him as a transfer target. He was a big part of Potters revolution and helped change our style and focus. If we were to sign a replacement it would soften the blow but currently I'd be happy for him to sign an extension and stay a few more years
