The 6 globetrotter clubs need to be given until May 24th ( end of season ) to reject the ESL or be chucked out of the PL.
That would cost the albion a massive amount of money but.... we are in a good place. Sell a Bissouma or a White, re-group, and than onwards into a lower-money PL and perhaps...
Just read that the Government may refuse work visas for foreign players in ESL teams.
Smart move. The more hostile their operating environment the better.
Let's see how they do with only British/Irish squads.
I suspect you are right in much of this.
Man Utd Globetrotters will eventually move to be based in China. The league will basically be a franchise league with no jeopardy.
It will wither on the vine and some great historic football clubs will just become exhibition match circus acts.
Very sad...
Good point. As the Globetrotter League evolves I can see the 6 clubs merging into 2 - with Chelsea being part of the Pistons and the other 3 becoming the Shanghai Sky Blue Reds Utd or similar.
It'll all end in tears when Liverpool and Man Utd relocate and play "home games" in India and China. Name changes and kit changes on their way eventually and little left of their heritage.
Meanwhile the remainder of English and European teams will prosper - although with less income and lower...
Some of these teams will love finishing bottom of the new league - as someone surely has to.
It'll be a hard "new normal" to accept after being used to being successful year after year. I don't think their fans will accept going from being top dogs to little whipping boys.
Lol.
