of course the heart attack was nothing to do with covid, really, what if in order to fight the infection the heart was put under pressure, have you never noticed your heart rate often increasing if you are unwell.

There was no law to stop them before Monday but the advice was there. Problem is the advice was poorly given hence it was just assumed that as the govt said 30 was the maximum it must be safe to socialise with up to 30 and ignore social distancing.
Its not as if there are new rules either, the advice from the experts has been to limit to six people all the time, the only change is that the government have now made it law.
