Hasn’t Bloom been giving out that message for at least 6 years now ?
Despite the sauces, the rumours , the assurances (“he’s not for sale”) - the pre season is a always couple of months where footballers play friendlies, there’s pages and pages of angst and speculation on here, new players...
Its not my agenda or values - its the club you support who i'm proud care about them front and centre. .
If you think equality and diversity isn't worth it - no worries. Take it up with them. I'm sure they'd been keen to hear from you about it...
This isn't Brighton or the values of our club. We don't have a "girls" team and quite right too.
Regardless of the merits of the Argus and their stories in the last week, then its archaic and disrespectful stuff.
The full interview with Molumby is here - it’s quite blunt (hes 20 !) but it effectively says I will work hard to prove to Potter he should have me in his squad or otherwise he should send me out on loan again . Given he played 40 odd games in the champ last year then fair enough...
Of course and he might - my point here is that as fans in threads like this, we overstate the likelihood of players leaving and the often baseless reporting speculating on that and underestimate by far Bloom's desire and success at keeping his man.
This must be the 12th window in a row:
- that club sniffs around a Brighton player = means he must be leaving - cue 1000 page thread speculating what happens if this happens - but then he doesn't. Rinse. Repeat. Next window.
Bloom doesn't sell first choice players.
Andy Naylor (The Athletic) , Brian Owen (The Argus) and Tom Barclay (The Sun) who all either Albion correspondents or near enough are all currently on holiday.
PS: Nobody has reported that Chelsea or anyone else has actually put in a bid for Dunk. Certainly not at £40m. Even The Sun's story which might as well just say Dunk is on "their radar" - doesn't say that. Its just speculating that that is Brighton's price and that Chelsea "might" pay it. Its...
Lewis Dunk to Chelsea ...............
That report really says little more than Dunk is
- “emerging as a leading candidate “
- Dunk is/was a Chelsea fan
- abramovitch will sanction big fees
- he will be sold if they match his value which they say is £40m -
- fans are worried he’s not...
Point still stands because its a very relevant one for this thread. Bloom fends off bids for his first choice players. And has done since the sale of Ulloa over 6 years ago. Worth reiterating - No ?
Dunk might very well go to Chelsea - he's an exceptional case and player so thank you very much...
Chelsea are also, according to this story from December, fans of Ben White.

Last years Dunk to Leicester thread for those who like a bit of nostalgia. Spoiler (He stayed)

So far the only source is our NSC friend who tweeted it yesterday - although i think its just that there's interest - and also a thin piece in Football Insider where its reported he's "emerged" as a target.
Such is the stuff on which transfer window reporting flies though and this has led to a...
Fulham in 2015 was pretty close - and there was last years Leicester/Maguire shenanigans which came to nothing. Of course half a dozen clubs are looking at Lewis Dunk as Al says.
And Bloom hasn't sold a player - for ££ or who wanted out - now for 6 years. Perhaps Dunk will put his hand up and...
