Love the timing of this announcement. A few days earlier and everyone would have been saying that this signals White going. Now it means we’ll have a great defence this coming season.

As much as I hate to say it, I think Chilwell and Rice are further up their wish list, but the valuations at £80m have meant that they are moving onto Lewis at £40m plus add ons. Just guessing but I think it may be a good guess.

I'd much prefer Dunk to stay but if he is to go, £40m would be nice, especially for a 28 year old.

Having said that White is evens to go to Leeds. These transfer rumours can be influenced by fairly small bets, but you would hope that the odds would be fading, not tightening. Seems as if Chelsea are in for everyone if you read the press.

This is how I see it too. It could happen, but there's a huge number of moving parts. I expect Chelsea have enquired to check our asking price and I expect they can meet it, but only if they sell first and I don't expect Dunk is top of their list.

I've no doubt there is substance to this rumour and that Chelsea made enquiries in Jan. So, he may go but I can't believe it would be for anything less than £40m. Two things that may stand in the way of it. Chelsea may have been interested in Dunk at say £40m but I doubt there's an agreement...
