Breath easy, that was unlikely to have been Mr Murder. The yellow-legged hornets look similar. It was probably a large one of those. There have been no sightings in the UK yet. Well, Guernsey, apparently. But not sure if I can believe the Daily Express.

It's racist. Or prejudiced against other murderous hornets. Depending on how you look at it.

Praying Mantis. They take no shit from this pretender. There is a video in YouTube of a stand-off in which the Praying Mantis grabs the hornet and then slowly eats it face first. I don't normally watch such gory horror but it was rather compelling.
