Both deservedly getting a kicking. Funnily enough, these results might provide some new impetus to the Brexit talks between them as they will face the same or worse results at the European elections.
The Tories were talking up losing a thousand councillors for damage limitation purposes expecting they would lose less to claim some sort of silver lining .... current losses 1113 :facepalm:
Understandable that many Lib Dem supporters are making some pretty extravagant claims about the significance of the council election results (bless em) the political wilderness they have been occupying is a lonely desolate place but just to gently remind them that they haven't even recovered all...
With a reduced UKIP presence and no Brexit party candidates, the Tories might escape with big losses instead of annihilation. Also, talk of a sub 30% turnout.
The change in Leader has heralded quite a few changes in the Labour party, perhaps you missed them.
Many good, principled people have left the Labour party.
Labour is a party being investigated by the Equality and Human Rights Commission over anti-Semitism ... they also investigated the BNP...
