And to add, in the council they did run - Thanet? - they were I believe a shambles. Simply not fit to govern.

I think the final tally is 5 Labour gains, I LD gain and 5 Tory holds. That is pretty remarkable. Notwithstanding the national picture, this has made my day!

Agreed; it's just the quality of the coverage that's winding me up!

Getting very annoyed with the BBC coverage which keeps equating Tory losses with Labour losses. At the time of writing the former is 450+, the latter 70+. I don't think it's a conspiracy - it's just lazy journalism fitting the facts to the prevailing narrative.
