Just watched The Irishman on Netflix (in one sitting).
Yes it's long (3 hours 29 mins) but at no time did I consider stopping the film to continue watching later. Any film that doesn't have me looking at my watch to see how long is left is a good one to me.
Excellent storyline, which is based...
Went to see Midway this afternoon, if you like CGI then this is a must for you, as I don't believe there was an actual plane, aircraft carrier or other ships in the film.
No doubt youngsters who aren't aware of Tora! Tora! Tora! or Battle of Midway will enjoy the film, but to me I preferred the...
Erm, not sure of that myself.
Yes great to see on the large screen for the earth views and the largeness of space, but not sure I would watch it again when it reaches the TV schedules.
I found it a film where you were expecting something to happen, and when it did (certainly on a couple of...
1969
I saw the film this afternoon and really enjoyed the film. I was engrossed the whole time and it didn't feel like a 161 minute film.
Humour, Great dialogue, violence, superb soundtrack, and does anyone know the batphone number.
Agree, but when I saw it last night, far too many people arrived after the film started, no one seemed capable of sitting through the three hours without needing to go to the restroom, plus given a lot of the film is narration of the thoughts of Captain Willard why do people have to much on...
Saw Blinded By The Light today, a great soundtrack if you like Springsteen.
From my visits Luton never looked that good in the 80s, but a budget British film which is fun to watch and has a few emotional scenes. It certainly could have been more gritty given the violence directed against non...
Not a new film, but back from seeing Stop Making Sense at the Old Market.
Great to see the Talking Heads concert film on a big screen. Good of the cinema audience to provide the feeling of being at a concert by clapping at the end of the song, and continually popping out to the bar or a comfort...
Went to see Rocketman this afternoon, and didn't enjoy the film.
While the film seems to have received good reviews, I found it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a stage musical or a movie biopic and ended up being boring and falling between the two.
I certainly won't be watching again...
Another vote for the Green Book which I saw this afternoon.
Humour within the social issues of the time combined with the growing relationship of the two lead actors along their journey.
Really enjoyable
I saw Stand and Ollie this afternoon.
I was a bit concerned with the start of the film when up popped in association with BBC Films, as I always wonder if the film was basically made for TV and I would have been better served by waiting and just watching when it hit the TV screens.
I needn't...
