Hollywood was very much QT's personal homage piece to the time and city.
Chances are it would have been a bit better if most of Quentin's films weren't an homage to something or another.
I finally got round to watching Joker, last night.
I'm not sure what all the fuss is about as it's basically just a skinny bloke doing a 21st century version of King of Comedy.
The Bill Simmons Podcast has a long interview with Matt Damon, starting at 53 mins

Fans of superyacht will be expecting this review:-
The Peanut Butter Falcon
I (we) blooming well loved this film.
The film has absolutely everything, comedy, pathos, coming of age, stunning soundtrack, superb acting.
It's such a shame it hasn't found an audience, yet.
I wouldn't be at all...
Yep it's good and our first alternate after Bognor.
Southampton is my 'treat' cinema
Get yourself over to Bognor sometime (now there's a sentence that's never been written)
£4.50.
They've had a bit of a refurb.
I think the odd numbers, 1 & 3 are a bit, well, £4.50.
But evens 2 & 4 are...
Can you please name a good independent cinema within a train ride of the Sussex coast?
Ok I'll try and keep this brief.
Bognor/Worthing are my local proper cinemas.
My favourite cinema is Harbour Lights (Picturehouse) in Southampton.
Therefore even as a cinema savvy family the Stat's haven't...
Ok cinephiles, fairly certain this is the last time I'll be mentioning The Rewatchables podcast, but it would be remiss of me not to bring this week's episode to your attention.
Bill and Sean discuss:-
Bitch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid with...
...Aaron Sorkin.
Don't get much better than that.
This week's Rewatchables is another Netflix available film Gone Girl.
As is customary they enjoyed the film (not to Con Air levels) but it's another great take on an excellent film.
The only reason to live in Southampton.
The Picturehouse cinema there is the dogs dangles.
Glass fronted.
Right on the edge of the marina.
Cafe
Leather reclining seats
&
Obviously a Picturehouse selection of films.
I could, and we very occasionally do, spend the whole day there.
I'm glad you're enjoying the listen.
They must have done 100 or so by now all available through the link on 'podcasts'.
The Con Air one was fun, as was The Fugitive.
I slogged my way through all 3 hours or whatever of Zodiac only for them to open up the discussion with 'how many sittings did...
Hmmm that doesn't sound even vaguely familiar either.
I'm sure I must have known this at some stage, as they are two films I'm somewhat reverential about and yet nothing.
If I can't remember pointless trivia that is of no benefit to me, I am nothing!!
Anyhoo write 'podcasts' in the search...
I've just listened to a 'deep dive' into Reservoir Dogs on The Rewatchables podcast.
Before I really go off on one I'm curious did I actually know and have since forgotten:-
&
were brothers?
Thanks for the codes.
Yeah we've IMAXed the Science Museum, lil Miss Stats first experience of 3-D.
She spent half the time trying to grab the jelly fish.
I was thinking this would be a good film for my children's (now 12 & 14) 'racism is bad' series.
Having previously watched:-
A Jessie Owens film.
A Jackie Robinson film, quickly followed by the fantastic
Hidden Figures
Does it fit in well, while we wait for Mississippi Burning!!
Hey film nerds
I didn't know the trains were up the spout next week.
I was mulling over taking the kids to the Science Museum.
I can still get us direct to London, going to Waterloo, leaving me wondering if there was anything other than the Science Museum we could do.
This is where...
