I’d like to think it’s not as black and white as that. I’m very much in the ‘Locadia in’ camp, he’s got some good attributes, Alireza* on the other hand, well, I won’t bother typing it again.
*I will be delighted, of course, if he does actually turn into a player rather than an Instagram...
Listen, I’m not going to pretend he’s a world beater, but I think you’re over egging it a bit. He created and scored a beauty against Millwall to get us back into the game, in fact, go and watch our highlights from this years cup run, we wouldn’t have got as far as we did without his assists and...
Agreed. I think that both of our starting full backs are primarily wing backs, they’d be far better suited in a 5-3-2. Let them push on, leave Dunk, Duffy and Burn (example) to defend. Use Stephens as a shield, Pick whichever two centre mids that look like they could offer something, put Murray...
Let me get this straight, he’s supposed to be a striker, but he’s been played out of position, but it’s his fault that we and he are not scoring? Seeems unfair to be honest. Collectively our wingers and midfielders have been shit, they offer nothing going forward, whether it’s Andone or Murray...
This for me is the biggest indictment of Hughton’s reign. We’ve been indoctrinated to believe a winger/attacker/forwards best asset should be how well they can defend, anything after that is a bonus.
Are we discounting his equaliser against Arsenal or his winner against Everton?
Anyway, this seems like a very bizarre witch hunt, we haven’t scored in about 5 games, today is the first time he’s started during that barren run, yet you want to pick him out as the scapegoat? Weird.
That’s a collective, Portlock is calling out Locadia and nobody else. I think they all need a flaming after today, not just one man.
Also, I’m pretty sure left wing is not Locadia’s idea of his perfect position.
I really think a lot of it is to do with the partnership that Bernardo and himself have developed. There was an attack against Arsenal, Bernardo and Locadia both tearing down the left wing, they just looked like a pair of raptors on a hunt!
