I don't know to be honest. They're convenient terms but I just don't find them that useful when drilling down into the more specific elements of ideology, such as definitions of liberty and freedom of all vs freedom of the individual.
'Right' and 'Left', and the 'fars' of each are too broad terms to be able to try and define views on freedom and equality. The Soviet Union was by anyone's definition far left, yet it curbed freedom of the individual to the n'th degree. Whilst on the other hand, elements of ideology considered...
