I thank you for your input and bow to your greater knowledge and it would seem that either I have misread or misunderstood the implication of Spotify Premium membership.
You may all scoff but I have resilience and determination not to be beaten and I am sure that if some of the younger people had the same attitude they would benefit from it.
Those that come to me are aged 5. 7 and 9 although the eldest is getting quite IT knowledgeable but they also know that if granddad cant fix it with the help of NSC etc I will take it to somebody who can and pay for it.so it is quite logical really as they know it will be fixed or replaced.
I do not understand, If a tune is copied from Spotify to a usb and used in a device that doesnt have Spotify downloaded how can they stop its use? Surely they wont know where or on what it is being used once it is copied.

1 am confused, not difficult I know, earlier father and son said that you never buy the tunes from i tunes just pay a lifetime rental and Spotify website states that to download them permenantly to cd, usb or MP3 you need to take out Premier subscription.

From what I can read of spotify you can get a 30 day free trial of Premium which you apparently need to download songs. My thinking is that I could take out this free trial downl;oad the songs etc during this time and then cancel the monthly payments. Not sure if that will work.but worth a try.
All sorted bu t sons came around and said that I shouldnt use I Tunes to download music but use Spotify, I have never heard of that. All this modern technology:shrug:
After clicking on 'burn to cd' the I tunes program takes you to a point to decide what type of cd you wish to have and also whether you wish to play it as per a usb etc or on a pc so iof iot is illegal to do it why do they give that option.
I accept that what you are saying is correct about the ownership legality but I have downloaded it to a cd to play at home in a pc or cd player many times in the past. Has it all changed?
I am sure that when I did this, probably 10 years ago, each song showed what was happening then moved on to the next until the cd was full but that is not happening now.
Moved on from Network Adaptors and Windows 7 now trying to put Now 100 on grandaughters MP3
Bought the album and put in a playlist. Then click on playlist right click copy and paste to sd card which shows the records etc on the card but when put in MP3 granddaughter says they are not on it...
