[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Correct about Kayal and the post about March was based on his playing wide as I and nobody else, you included, could have envisaged GP using him as a left wing back.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Ben White would get better experience at a a top Div 1 side or lower Championship side than being no 4 or 5 with us. He has passed the needing match experience part of his career

Or possibly keep him as experienced cover and send White and Barclay out but already talk of Kerr going on loan to Derry.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Possibly on the bench unless the complete and utter shyster is called in to ref one of our 2 games over the holiday period.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Which catergory does he fall into (a) experienced player who can do a job (b) a player for the future to push D & Do

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Dont know much about him but he is 6ft 7in tall so is he good at cutting out crosses or just balls coming at him from the opponents half like Dunk and Duffy.
  7. B

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Seems a sensible move to sign him for an apparent modest fee.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

I would think and hope signing Nick Powell is dead in the wood and we have moved on to better players.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

We have signed what appear to be better players and if we go for any loans I think it will be a CM to complement Bissouma and push Stephens and Propper. Just to set the record straight I believe that both March and Kayal are adequate as 4th choicer but neither will be pushing for a start with...

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

There is no definitive right or wrong despite what many say and like to think it is all about individual opinion which is why some managers succeed and some fail.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

I think that K Gull is being more realistic about the situation.obviously telling a man he is 4th choice as cover will only happen if we sign an old out of contract player, other than that CH will let them think they have a chance to make the team.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

With our new signings it is very doubtful if Kayal will make the 25 and March is by far the worst of the 4 wide men we have. and I wouldnt expect to see him figure many times only perhaps as a late impact sub.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Not quite as Bong Sutner are specialist left backs Bruno and Schelotto are specialist right backs. the only common competition is Bernardo. who again prefers left back out of choice. Hemed is the example of 4th choice who is not really competing for a spot unless injury and suspension occur.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

In which position do we have a 4th choice who is anywhere near as good as the 1st choice? All are adequate and capable of doing a job as cover but do not offer competition to the player in the team. Why should CB be any different? Probably the nearest we get is main striker and everybody...

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

No we don't but we want value for money and not be taken advantage of because of TB wealth.
  16. B

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

He will go somewhere when his contract finishes at Chelsea or perhaps retire and go into the media but I would think another club and contract is favourite.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Just answering the question of why he MIGHT consider an offer from us or an equivalent club.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

Simple maths 24 weeks @£100k= 2400 K after that future and income unknown, 2 year contract with us is 104 weeks @ 45k = 4680k guaranteed, nearly double.

[Albion] Dan Burn - New Centre Back

He is 32 years old and his days at the top are short so it may prolong his playing career by a couple of years which he may want.

So perhaps we should ask Chelsea how much they want for Gary Cahill
