Nonsense. There are great players in several teams. Some teams have a few great players, with decent players filling the remainder of the team. One greatest ever player can't beat all those on his own.
I seems we completely disagree with each other, so not much point arguing further.
Salah might be at the next WC, but if he is, he won't achieve a great deal, because his team is shit. George Best was a brilliant player, but didn't even play at a WC. It depends so much on the quality of the team the player is stuck in.
If he doesn't do as well then it's most likely to be...
It obviously isn't. There are clearly players around at the moment who have done far better at world cups than Messi, but no one who's seen much of the players (and knows something about football) would argue they're better than Messi.
Having watched Egypt's world cup I imagine you think Salah...
I like the thinking.
But I don't think you can use it to compare just to the nearest couple of greats. We're not even sure Messi is better than Ronaldo, and that fact that we have two potential best ever players at the moment doesn't suddenly mean that actually they're both bang average...
 I can ask my dog who she thinks is best if you like. If you haven't watched much of them playing throughout the years, then you can't (seriously) comment on who is the best.
The fact that Messi was spotted as being great when just a kid, and then played at a great club ever since, shouldn't count against him.
For that provincial club in the north. Man-something?
They've only won the Euros, and they won the final without Ronaldo in it, so they're clearly a decent...
Of course teams would try, but they wouldn't have the level of training and video footage to pour over that they do now. As mentioned in another thread, when Scotland went off to win the '78, they hadn't even see half of the opposition play before, and didn't know who took the free-kicks. Can...
But it's clearly true that the game has moved on. Defenders are miles fitter and have had better training, and they've watched many a video of the likes of Messi and Ronaldo, and has training sessions specifically on how to counteract them as a team.
Obviously I'm not suggesting that the...
1:20 outrageous.
It's so difficult to compare these players. We'd have a similar highlights real of Maz at Napoli, Messi etc. With Best I feel he could have been the best, but he wasn't, because he didn't cope with the ups and downs of a football career. NI qualified for the WC before and after...
