Think he wants to join us in PL...hoping we will up our offer......the Boro offer was accepted over weekend and would normally have been sewn up in matter of couple of days..
Reminds me of Suttener negotiations last year.....got there in the end but no matter what the fee we wont pay over the odds..
This is not about money, but Value we place on a player and that not being in line with another club,......so we move on (probably did two weeks ago by looks of it)
good points made....I am sure that we see him as a Utility player and not key CM signing (Delaney type) Therefore would assume we want Delaney type ie pushing for starting Birth and new CB pushing for starting Birth and Mcnair falls into the squad category player like rosenior was.. I also...
I think the Boro move will either force our hand or we have simply given up as he is not worth the money...
In fairness I think if he leaves it will be to a PL side.
nailed it in one....all smoke and mirrors as ever at this point. He knows full well Brighton are interested and is waiting on increased bid......until that happens it all remains speculation.....
Interesting now that Connor Goldsone is leaving that things should get going...Kosna? Moore? Mcnair? we are now effectively 2 defenders down following departures of LR,UH and CG...Leon Balgoun takes one spot so there is certainly room for two of the three mentioned....
Like all of the Journos they must get the info from somewhere. This one is a respected chief sports writer for Northern echo so there must be something in it....
