And there in lies the problem in many places. I went to Amsterdam at the beggining of November. Caught a cab from the airport to our hotel - big mini-bus type - cost 48 Euros. While there I thought I'd see if Uber would work - it did. Hotel to airport using Uber - 27 Euros ..... in a spotless...

I've had that issue a couple of times and claimed the charge back via the app with no arguments from Uber.

Bar one key element ..... the fare estimate ..... bit of an own goal there !

I don't know whether you've spotted the option yet but on the Uber app you can now pay for a family members fare if they get stuck somewhere and track them in the Uber. Gives myself and Mrs W peace of mind when Miss W is out.

Here's my prediction. HT will mention out of town drivers taking money out of the local economy - despite many drivers living in B&H. Of course HT doesn't use any non-local companies at all. He'll then mention a race to the bottom but will not take into account the appalling service Streamline...

Indeed. GDPR could be fun for the local firms. Remember folks the taxi firm will have to ask you explictly if they can hold your phone number and say what they want to do with it.
