Not quite 40 years [emoji2].
Don’t agree at all re standard.
What is different is the diet, fitness, surfaces, balls and kit.
I would be very interested to see how today’s players would cope with uneven bounces, muddy surfaces, a more physical game. You need very good technique to cope with...
But could today’s players cope with a more physical game on poor pitches, arguably they have better touch, because they rarely receive a bad bounce.
Of course all very hypothetical.
I think Foster in his prime 81/82, was at least as good as Dunk, culminating in a World Cup appearance...
Whoa!
Too early to say.
I would still think the Mullery team that first year in Div 1, would give this team a very close game.
Foster and Suddaby, with Lawrenson in midfield with Horton and Ward and Ray Clarke up front, Stevens/Gregory, Williams, Sully and Ryan is formidable in its own right...

Yes it was a great cross.
It was frustrating because he did well in the first few games.....
I would start Locadia against Leicester.

However, I don’t think Dunk was flat footed, otherwise he wouldn’t have taken off barely...
Disagree completely on the first goal.
It was a brilliant cross, Dunk was in an awful stick or twist position.
If he goes tight on Lukaku, Lukaku nips inside and scores, everyone is ‘Dunk was asleep’.
The fact is the cross was so good, it took Dunk out of the game.
Presumably in ‘83 when...
