I think it said on the site yesterday that no tickets for Palace fans would be available after midday but tickets for Brighton fans would still be available from the ticket office. Maybe they've just taken them down from online?

For those who know him, I bumped into the legend that is 'the Doc' today (in Uckfield of all places). He was looking really well too. He's going tomorrow and it'll be his first game of the season. Doesn't go to the Amex anymore because he finds it too 'corporate' but couldn't miss a cup game...

Even with a decent attendance there were lots of empty seats. The Amex will look much worse on the telly on Monday.

And the reason for that is the club did a bring a friend for £10 promotion. Marketing does work. If the club had got the pricing and loyalty points allocation correct for this one, the stadium would be full.

That actually suggests a crowd of around 18k (including 1901 no-shows) - don't forget no home fans in the South.

I don't get this Monday night thing. Why is Monday night any different to Tuesday night? Bit of a lame excuse really.

It's one of these, probably the latter because the club had the chance to provide more incentives when they saw tickets weren't shifting (eg. Increase the number of loyalty points) but did nothing.
