I emailed Janet Pennington yesterday, about this elusive pub. She is a local historian and agrees that it could be The Stadium pub, that used to be on the corner of Holmes Ave and Old Shoreham Rd, which is know a Co-op. She is local to Brighton, and her father used to an Albion supporter...

Wouldn't your dad have a better idea of what pub it is, seeing it'll be his era :wink:
