That's what the left were saying ahead of the last General Election.
And then despite Momentum, despite dragging all sorts of can't-be-arsed-to-vote's out to vote, despite running an incredibly successful campaign, despite the biggest ever utter cluster**** of a campaign from the Tories...
"Andrew Gwynne tells the Daily Politics the Labour conference has been the most energised and optimistic that he has seen for a long term.
He insists that the party does not have a problem with anti-Semitism"
We've all seen that Jeremy Corbyn has no problem with anti-Semitism at all - it seems...
Can they really find another million people who couldn't be arse to vote before, to come out and vote just once?
How many more voters do they have stuffed down the back of the sofa?
Both you and Ernest have been saying the same for many years now, and NSC has it all recorded in detail year after glorious year.
Sooner or later you will be right, of course, if only because politics is largely cyclical.
Because the Lib Dems didn't win the election? Maybe, although I never expected them to.
More relevantly, I'm not running around claiming some sort of victory, which was what many in and around the Labour Party were doing, despite most definitely coming second by every measure going.
Absolutely. We see it on here, on both sides, people so entrenched that they can never show any appreciation for "the other side" regardless. They'll just sit on their hands and wait for the next opportunity to snipe. The entrenched Tories will NEVER vote Labour and the entrenched Labourites...
- Call an election as permitted in our democracy.
- Allow all the JC 4 PM crew to vote in their man.
- Oh no, he lost.
- Moderate policies to reflect the will of the people.
Everyone's a winner. Well other than the JC 4 PM mob. Oh well.
I heard on the news that in his speech today he was going to tell the current government to move aside for Labour.
Not sure he gets how our democracy works.
