Agreed.
I don't want us to do a Pompy or Palace, but not getting a striker is poor financial planning. Trying to compete in the Championship is not a sustainable business model. It is risking exactly what you don't want to be risked.
Sure we will, along with 10 other teams.
I'm not.
Yes, and the fact is that we don't have the information required to give the answer. Did TB not offer the team enough money early on? Or did the team use up too much of the money on the wrong players? There was clearly a decent amount of money available, we just have no idea why it...
If TB asked his recruitment team how much money they needed to get the strikers (and other players) they need, and they told TB, and he said ok, that's fine, you can have that money, go get 'em - how is it then his fault if they don't go get them?
Obviously I'm not saying that's exactly what...
I disagree. As I've said in other threads, Ulloa was £8m 3 years ago. Strikers haven't gone up that much.
Not really. We've been trying and failing to get more strikers in each of the last 3 windows, so it's not like we didn't know it was difficult. This really is unacceptably bad.
Since I also don't know where the blame lies, I'm just blaming the club in general. I just can't believe it. I'm flabbergasted.
Look at what the Championship clubs are spending - getting promoted from there is really difficult, even for the relegated teams. Getting relegated will probably cost...
