He's portrayed as a bad guy because he is; it really is this simple. He has a number of criminal convictions for a variety of crimes such as violence, financial fraud and passport violations as well as deportations.

You have to remember they all look the same to some people.

Well, if they're redundant and empty it makes perfect sense to use them for something else. How do you go about the conversion though? I guess they need to remove the pews and pop some shoe racks at the door but what else? Is there some sort of Mosque style stone cladding for the outside? Guess...

Do we have to bulldoze them though? Seems a waste. Why not convert them into trendy pubs, or a Whetherspoons, or apartments? It's what we do with redundant churches.

This thread is grim reading and for a number of reasons. Thoroughly depressing times we live in.

If someone wants to carry out an act like the one in Manchester they can a venue/place to do it; I go to numerous gigs of all sizes and they can't all be made secure. And to be honest I'm not sure I fully want this. So, yes, be vigilant, this is all we the pubic can do.
