Possibly they could, tbf. The 'red' of their new home kit is so dark, that they would not be able to use it against West Ham or Burnley, but they probably could wear this one.
That Marcus Evans logo is TERRIBLE, is it?
Not so much insofar as how it looks on the shirt - the shirt isn't bad. More from the actual brand's point of view - the white writing, over the white 'm' logo, makes it barely legible.
Agreed.
Although with a design like our new one (where a gap is left in the blue stripes, to create a bar for the logo) it would look ridiculous WITHOUT the sponsor.
Unless they are actually going to SELL them to you, with no sponsor, then this is an utterly pointless (and misleading) release. The look / size / position / printing method of the sponsor logo, has a MASSIVE impact on the overall look of the shirt. Look at the ruined Newcastle one above for a...
Its a '125 year anniversary' kit, so launched with current squad and 'selected legends'.
The STICK ON sponsor logo is horrible. Spoils what is a GREAT kit, IMO.
Lose the sponsor, change the red to royal blue, swap the Forest badge for an Albion one, and replace the crappy modern adidas logo for the PROPER trefoil one, and I'd be ALL over it.
The new (leaked) Newcastle home kit (Puma), is a thing of simplistic beauty.
Slightly crappy Chinese betting sponsor, but better than WONGA I guess.
