Hope he makes it. I'd be pissed off if a professional travel company decided that a 14:15hrs departure time from the south coast would leave sufficient time to make a 19:45hrs k/o in Norwich on a Friday night.
Just checked AA Roadwatch for you and there is currently about 5 miles of stationary traffic approaching the crossing , but seemingly building rapidly.
The good news is that once you get through the tunnel everything looks pretty clear so hopefully no problems once you get through.
I should add - to put everybody's mind at rest - that my OCD is not being late. I am always early for any appointment or engagement and consider arriving 'on time' to be a personal failure. As you can imagine, this obsession with being uber-punctual drives Mrs Nylon mad. :lolol:
So, 4-ish hours by car, mid-morning on a Thursday.
On that basis, I reckon coaches leaving the south coast at 2pm on a Friday at the end of the Easter holidays is pushing it close. Hitting the Dartford Crossing anything after 3pm on Friday is usually the recipe for a complete clusterfvck.
Hope...
Depart Worthing at 14:05hrs on a coach on a Friday evening at the end of the Easter holidays? You're gonna spend about 2 hours trying to get through the Dartford crossing...
