I turned against him when he left and starting laughing at us. Totally uncalled for, a small club chiselling an existence that did him no harm.
I don’t picture him as a future half time guest of Richard Reynolds :D . [Don’t tell me he has been?]
Leon? I thought he blew hot and cold, very cold when he wanted out of the club.
Akpom didn’t sprint, the only Albion player I’ve ever heard face chants of “Wanker” …. from us!
Who was the obese striker in our squad in the Amex era?
Bullying (not so Wendy) Wilkins put Murray down in front of the squad durinb a training session, playing to the gallery. Wilkins got sensored by the Board for that.
GM once committed another capital crime. A couple of season into his Withdean contract, his head was allegerdly turned by an offer from elsewhere. Allied to his disgraceful Berbatov/Frank Worthington style languid posture, this led to a couple of thousand Withdeaners hating him as punishment.
I didn't paraphrase him fully. It was "you useless sp*c c*nt". The first word being the old slang used by Brits in Spain against their Spanish hosts. Said with venom against his own player.
I use to sit there. There was a hater who had it in for most of our foreign players. To his mind he was also a expert tactician, calling angrily for ours player to "play down the channels" etc.
He took it too far calling Lopez a c**t, in front of kids. He disappeared that half-time, not to...
I agree with the poster about Hemed. He's done a good job for us, proving the haters wrong. But Baldock will be our only striker next season with pace and at a decent age. Murray should be given a chance, but will be a year older against PL class CB's.
I think the club will buy two strikers...
Possibly because the Albion give first team game time to prospects, whereas the London PL clubs acquire hundreds of players they never end up playing in meaningful games. Well done to our club for doing this.
Makes the matchday experience at the Amex sound so miserable.
If quite a few supporters want to show their displeasure at the seemingly lazy, inept performance (again) by a loanee, they're entitled to air that with booing.
