Who says Germans don't have a sense of humour?
Uwe's post on his Facebook page -
2:0 verloren und dazu ein herzliches Willkommen von den Leeds Fans. Alles in allem kein guter Tag, aber nicht was uns stoppen wird. Nach der Länderspielpause greifen wir wieder an
A 2:0 defeat and a warm welcome...
I don't think the fan should be arrested for assault, but I do think he should be banned from Elland Road, as you can guarantee, would happen if one of our fans had done the same at the Amex.
We don't have to drop anything. We're simply fans having a discussion, although some idiots have taken it further on Twitter and Facebook.
The club are dealing with it.
There have been two instances. Hazard at Swansea, who got a three match ban and a fine, and an Orient player, who got a 6 match ban. The first ball 'boy' was as big as the player, so not necessarily a 'kid'.
Uwe has been playing with his hand strapped up following a fracture. Luckily, that...
There were school parties there yesterday. The kids were allowed to walk around the pitch, before the game, before returning to their seats for the start. One little chap aged approx 8 years, stuck his middle finger up, at the Brighton fans as he walked past. That's what some of their kids are like.
The other consideration, from our point of view, is that Uwe still has his hand strapped up, from when he broke it. The assault, and resulting fall/trying to steady himself, could have exacerbated that injury. We have a makeshift defence line up, as it is.
Players get banned for pushing ball boys ie 3 match ban for Hazard, and an Orient player got a 6 match ban. Why shouldn't fans get banned for assaulting players?
