Isn't the point Bozza implies is that he believes there won't be 'random' checks. They will only check where there are reasons to check, ie presumably when someone causes trouble.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the gist of that is just re-iterating existing rules but that there isn't going to be wholesale or even random checks of tickets other than for fans that are causing trouble.
I presume this might have been initiated due to some problems last weekend and the idiots...
Think this is an entirely separate issue. All the time we have maximum number of season ticket holder and a waiting list then I can understand why the club don't allow you to transfer the ticket into your sons name. They might lose you as a STH but if they have two on the waiting list not sure...
It is starting to sound like that. The club need to be aware that the very fans they may alienate are the very ones that would normally be there if the roller coaster we are on takes a dip, very possibly with a relegation next year if we go up this one. I would suggest from a financial point a...
I think the point is that if it became part of the terms and conditions then you may well have the right not to show id and they might have the right to refuse you admission (obviously with the cooperation of the home team).
Buying a season ticket does require effort in that you are committing to watch 23 games and putting money into the club.
That said, I suspect the number of people that only go to away games is very small in the grand scheme of things.
I don't agree with what PB is proposing on the basis that the problem isn't a major issue but I disagree with your comment. STH and home tickets is money into the club. Those that just go to away games aren't putting money into their club so why should they get priority over home supporters.
I can understand to some extent the stance taken but as others have said, exactly how much of a problem is this. If they do chose to go down this route then they should make it far easier to transfer tickets or sell them back for a full refund if someone is unable to attend a match. That could...
