I just got put through to a call centre in Manchester... they couldn't seem to understand let alone deal with my request... so I had to queue again... but I got to talk to Helen, who was extremely understanding of my mistake when ordering QPR tickets and very helpful in resolving the issue.
If they have identified genuine 'trouble makers' and 'touts' abusing the system... why not pursue them directly rather than this ill-judged and unwelcome heavy handed edict to all long-suffering and dedicated supporters?
I rather suspect you would actually show them a bank card or similar from your wallet and carry on enjoying your day out watching the Albion. It doesn't really seem like a fight worth having at the time. By all means rage against the machine after the event etc...
Perhaps they do have the ability to deny you access to their facilities if you can't prove you are the legitimate owner of the ticket?
Would seem a bit odd for Barber to go out on this limb if he hadn't checked??
