    Realistic signings in January

Been saying it will be announced on NYD for a while, and this only confirms my view. Although, that said, given it's a Sunday tomorrow, we might have to wait for a match-day boost signing, or they might even drag their heels until Tuesday.

That one's been doing the rounds for a while. Wouldn't be a bad addition in my view.

    Realistic signings in January

This from the Bamba article in The Argus: Warnock believes Albion have a better team than Newcastle but he still expects Chris Hughton to add a striker in January. "Brighton are the best team all-round," he said. "I think Newcastle have got the biggest squad and more individuals but I think...

Agree with all of your first paragraph (with the possible caveat of Firminho, who really is the archetype of the modern player with a prodigious work-rate and, even more importantly, top of the pile of intensive sprints). Realistic signings in January

I'd go along with this, but it's not so much that we're too good for him, it's more that his style of play just doesn't fit into the way we play now. As others have said, he may be able to ghost past players, but he really does slow the game down, whereas we speed it up, which is why Baldock...

    Realistic signings in January

You've indicated my point quite clearly. Nugent knows about twice a week Championship football, the youngster doesn't. Both are in the PL. You'd imagine that both are of a higher standard than the regular starter in L1.

    Realistic signings in January

By that logic, you'd rather a L1 player that has played this season over a PL player who hasn't. In general, I wouldn't.

    Realistic signings in January

I'm pretty confident that we will. There's very little point in waiting until the end of January.
