That doesn't matter. It's not about him staying. He signs now so he's worth more; in return we let him go this window; and he gets a cut of the extra dough. Nothing to do with him actually intending to stay on the championship.

Get Dale to sign a new contract for three years in return for letting him go for £10m+. We get better money, he gets a cut of the dough and a big pay hike in the Prem. That would suit everyone if he's going anyway.
