I disagree. Don't lose to your rivals. Absolutely yes! But failing to take the points at home to the weaker teams is far more damaging, than remaining in an even position to your main rivals. IMO

Why is that more of an issue than only taking 2 points from the 4 games against Wolves & Cardiff?

Of the Top six, Boro were the only team to take more points off of us than we did them.
