Has there been any further comment or suggestion as to what this "illegal approach" was actually all about? Anything concrete that Bloom could take up with the powers that be, or was it just the Argus having a paddy? It read like a throw away comment, but it should be serious if true.

Norwood is a neat and tidy central midfielder. Very different to Pritchard who is a number 10. I don't believe Norwood would be our fall back option.

This is frustrating. You can bet he'll score against us during the season. It means that the world knows we have ~£8m to spend as well, which makes future transfer negotiations much harder.

One note to make is that a front 3 of Pritchard behind Murray / Hemed isn't exactly quick. Who will go past defenders? Will be interesting to see where the pace comes from and how they all fit together. Although Pritchard's balls into the box for Murray and Hemed will be tasty.

This is huge, huge money. We've given pelters to other clubs for spending far less. Bloom is going for it! Exciting times :)
