The mornings this week into London Bridge were great - more trains, 10-15 mins faster and not crowded.
The evening returns were dogshite. Every other Thameslink train seemed to be cancelled, slow running, overcrowded etc.
This notice posted by Great Northern/Thameslink is utter garbage - so contradictory

The majority of the new timetable services are in operation but services on some routes are being progressively phased into the timetable during the...
Hardly difficult to go online and check.
Never use a printed timetable personally but why are they not available?
As for planning.......sounds normal. Going to work from home tomorrow and let the carnage unfold without me.
Not informed? Seriously? There have been announcements - to the point of irritation - at stations and on trains, multiple times during each journey, every day for weeks. Posters at stations, staff handing out leaflets etc etc. Anyone who has been on a train in the last month should know...
Have to say the new timetable from May 20th (from a London commuting perspective anyway) looks vastly improved from my station.......or at least it would, if there was any chance they might stick to it.
Used to love them.......could arrive at the station last minute and chase after the train, open the door, swing on it a couple of times as you fought to shut it before landing in a heap inside the train, before getting up, dusting yourself down and trying not to look flustered. In the meantime...
Be interesting to see how quickly, or more likely, if the pre-action timetable is reinstated. Trains have been disappearing from schedules at an alarming rate.
Possibly, but going back to your own post #6061, I bet a lot of the training is specific to a) the type of train and b) the specific route. As I understand it (will happily defer to one of our resident train drivers on this like Deadly Danson ) a fair chunk of the training time is eaten up by...
As others have said, time of day is the key. Very early morning is generally Ok, and after 9/9.30am will be as well. Returning, you'll also be ok as you'll be getting back on North of the masses travelling south who mostly pick up the Thameslink trains in the city (especially Blackfriars and...
Think the last Clipper from the O2 to London Bridge is 10.30pm

However, Jubilee line may not be too badly affected by the tube strike (often isn't) so getting back to London Bridge may not be...
What a load of bollocks that is (again, Southern stance, not your post) - assume Southern have considered potential disability discrimination claims ??
