The strikes are nothing to do with safety or pay. The government wanted to pick a fight with the unions and the unions decided they were up for said fight. The government are using Southern to fight that fight while the unions are using their customers as cannon fodder to fight the fight. It's...
It actually shows the drivers don't give a toss about commuters. An entirely cynical move to make it a four day strike while they only lose three days pay.
I wouldn't worry too much ..... he spent ages telling everyone who would listen the recent report would explain everything and then when it was published decided to dismiss it completely because it didn't back his opinion !
I know they're not but remember Southern don't even employ enough drivers to run the service without over time normally so they sure as heck haven't employed enough drivers to cover normal sickness. The fact that the union members phone in sick falsely obviously doesn't help the situation...
Pathetic fine. The most galling part is the phrase "unprecedented levels of sick leave were also to blame". Errr .... so make sure you employ enough drivers to cover sickness. As usual the government and the operator don't give a toss about the customer ...... much like the union lemmings as well.
Why should customers need to check if trains are running or not ? I don't check with Tesco that they have a stock of baked beans before I go to their shop. Neither do I check with the Albion that the published match is still on for me to go to. It's up to the Government, Southern, the Unions and...
The #muttonhead is Mick 'Coward' Cash who today refused to talk to his members customers about what THEY want. Why ? Because he knows he'd get lynched if he ever dared to travel on a commuter train. He's clearly too stupid to understand his members work in a SERVICE industry.
*** Awaits some...
So now the drivers will only strike for six days this month instead of 12 thus only losing six days pay but it will in reality grid the network to a halt for at least ten days. They REALLY know how to get their customers on side don't they ? Scum, idiotic scum - sack them, sack the conductors...
You can self certify - it doesn't mean you get paid by your employer. Your employer only has to pay SSP - roughly £80 a week. Even then the first four days don't count.
And in one short post you've shown this is nothing to to with safety and everything to do with union power. Unions vs The Government ..... and neither give a toss about the customer.
You're suggesting that the RMT & ASLEF haven't picked dates over Christmas and Nov 5th because they will cause the most disruption to their CUSTOMERS ? #couldntgiveamonkeysaboutcustomers
Ah, the good old twisting of words ! And you have the
cheek to accuse Southern of that ! Firstly I said "if I were a commuter" - I'm not. Secondly where have I advocated violence ? I've said how I would feel. I've not encouraged anyone to go and take the actions I'd feel like taking. BUT the...
It is possible to support neither party ..... which I suspect is the position of many commuters. Personally, if I was a commuter, by now I would have lynched the odd Southern executive and pushed some conductors onto the live rail. Southern, the RMT and the strikers are all pathetic, brainless...
