It has been mentioned on here before that Brighton had the 2 highest paid players in the entire league during the 82-83 season, Foster and Robinson, and they were both on 10 year contracts. Difficult to believe when you think of those in the Liverpool team at the time, but apparently true.
It's a good point and I do not know the answer. I would imagine though that lots of costs were brought forward into last year's accounts so that we used as much of last year's FFP allowance as possible, thus freeing up extra for this year. But it does not matter, the point that TB will not allow...
There is no way that TB would allow the club to fall foul of FFP in the light of his stance on it and that PB is now FL director. We have 13m allowable loss this season plus whatever is left from the Ulloa/Bridcutt/Buckley/Barnes money and bonuses, so that is a substantial amount to be playing with.
