Very glad they've not got this far into Lancing yet. I'd imagine I sit just far enough way that they wouldn't expect a gruesome story, so not worth the effort.
I feel nothing but loathing for those vultures.
Christ that's horrendous. Not the phrasing or the choice of words but to see the future that someone had clearly thought/planned out laid bare knowing that it can't happen...horrible.
I couldn't believe the Mail had that as their front page today, if it was anyone I'd known I'd be devastated (and furious beyond words) to see her last moments, which were so full of fear, being used to flog a paper.
For lack of a better phrase, it's torture porn, pure and simple.
Maybe it has something to do with aerial photography over the crash site? Or possibly a crane being on site?
I'm basing that on nothing but guesswork, fully happy to be corrected!
I can't say that I had a similar experience but it was incredibly surreal hearing the sirens going on late into the night from my bedroom. Add in a teething child and it left a lot of time for a mind to wander.
Agreed. If nothing else the speed with which they all took off (and the variety) was almost as big an indication that something had gone awry as anything else. All very sad.
Time and a place though, I suspect it's less your opinion people have an issue with and more that there are likely in the local community known to posters (and certainly in this thread) who are currently suffering through a deeply unpleasant wait whether loved ones wee involved.
There'll be a...
This, in every way.
I'm in bed listening to the intermittent sirens going to/from the crash site (presumably), they've barely stopped all afternoon. It's been a surreal day and it's still not registering that something that is so innocuous and pleasant (I was watching the show from my garden...
According to press conference (please correct me if wrong);
- 7 confirmed fatalities
- Pilot is alive and fighting
- They've moved beyond the first stage of helping the wounded and are into a recovery stage
- It's possible that they will find more victims throughout the night
All very grim stuff.
I would suggest it's the possibility of getting some attention for it.
There's a perfectly valid reason for all the videos of the crash happening, everyone there presumably had an interest in it after all, but anything in the aftermath...why?
Edit; For clarity, everyone there had interest in...
Same here, sirens have been going near me pretty solidly since it happened.
I was watching a display from my garden this morning as well, feels very odd for a idyllic day to have gone so very wrong.
Just had a look on twitter and there's so much contradictory reactive crap on there. Can't believe the things people turn into a 'look at me' opportunity. *****.
