The point that the two transfers aren't comparable at all is pretty conclusive.. Trippier's agent must've known when he signed a new deal last May (with 1 year left on his deal) that there was interest and demanded a low relegation release clause or he wouldn't sign and would leave for nothing...

In fairness he probably would've gone for at least double that had it not been for the release clause.
