Yes. The majority vote in the Parliamentary Labour Party and vote of the Labour Party membership in the country was in favour of David Milliband. However, the Union vote ended up giving the leadership to Ed. The unions believed Ed to be more sympathetic to their cause, plus they viewed him to be...
I'm no fan of either and I think Milliband got a far tougher ride.
For example he was asked, "Are you a north London geek?" which was pretty disrespectful and unworthy of Paxman. Cameron wasn't asked, "Are you just posh Bullingdon boy?"
However, Milliband didn't do well or come across as Prime...
For me that is exactly the point. He looked like he was about to cry at the end, and Paxman's "Are you alright Ed - are you OK?" comment at the end was more telling than any part of the interview proper. Lightweight.
To be fair, the BBC is full of pinko lefties who won't even let their presenters flog underlings to within an inch of their lives if they haven't got a steak ready for them at the end of work.
Same here - plus he is getting rattled now and losing his good humour he started out with. Paxo is going to finish him with a KO inside the first 3mins
Cameron pissed the audience Q&A. The facilitator was crap and didn't shut him up, letting him take the ball into the corner and run the clock down with every question. I'm sure she'll get a pasting in the press for her ineptitude.
If I was in Cameron's team I'd give him 8 /10 for that, up from...
Ed's main issue is that he is not a natural public speaker, regardless of his other qualities. He over rehearses and it sounds like it plus it means he lacks the mental dexterity to debate the issue as it evolves. Consequently he ends up sounding like a Dalek.
