Not so. The toffs wouldn't tolerate massive class sizes for their precious darlings. And they would demand tax changes (which they could afford to pay) to ensure that the school system delivered a quality education to their kids. Everyone would benefit from this.

And repeat at regular intervals? It's interesting, is it not, that despite 145 years of compulsory education, it is still the case that half the population is of below average intelligence.

I'd abolish private education. Imagine the improvements that would hit the state school system if ALL families had to use it.
