Doesn't bother me too much, music to me is about the music, not too much about the message or reasons behind it. If it made me jump about as a kid, or made me feels the dogs, then it's ok in my book.

I loved Weller early doors with The Jam and Style Council, has had few good tracks solo, but seems to me musically he's every so slightly trying to disappear up his own R-soul, Bonoesque style. Not sure I'm being swayed by his nobby haircut thou.
